Abstract

1,251,812. Fluid pressure spool valves. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. 31 Jan., 1969 [7 Feb., 1968], No. 6024/68. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] In a spool valve 3 forming part of a valve assembly fluid linkage between the inlet 11, 12 and outlet 14, 24 when the valve is nominally non-operative is intercepted by annular grooves 17 and returned to the reservoir. In this manner creep of the element controlled by the valve is prevented. Several such valves fed from a common supply are arranged in a single assembly such that when all valves are inoperative, a transfer passage directs pressure fluid to the reservoir.
