Abstract

A decorative coating of a cured thermosetting resin is caused to adhere more effectively on a moulded cement or concrete article by embedding a layer of fibrous material in the resin coating adjacent the interface between the coating and the cement or concrete. The fibre may be glass fibre, polyamide or cellulose in the form of a mat or a woven, knitted or non- woven fabric. The resin is preferably a polyester mixture, with a filler, e.g. sand. The concrete may include reinforcements.
