Abstract
1,250,604. Feed dispensing. R. J. FULLWOOD & BLAND Ltd. 21 Oct., 1968 [20 Oct., 1967], No. 47879/67. Heading AIM. [Also in Divisions G4 and G6] A feed-dispensing apparatus comprises a plurality of hoppers from each of which feed is transferred to a manger by a solenoid operated pusher, the solenoids being in a control circuit including means to vary the number of times each solenoid is operated in a cycle of operation of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a motor M, Fig. 3, which drives a series of cams C1-C10 having one to ten lobes respectively and cooperating with micro-switches MS1-MS10 to which the solenoids RL1-RL4 can be selectively connected via rotary switches RS1-RS2. The micro-switch MS11 operated by the cam C11 establishes a holding circuit for the motor. Switches TSW CSW1-CSW4 may be operated to connect the micro-switches MS1-MS10 to another bank of four solenoids. Each solenoid may be connected through a mechanical linkage to the associated pusher shaft or may operate a valve which admits air to or allows withdrawal of air from a bellows which is mechanically connected to the associated pusher shaft. The hopper and pusher may be of the kind described in Specification 1,079,412.
