Abstract

1,249,102. Mixing apparatus. W. MEADOWCROFT & SON Ltd. 17 Oct., 1968 [18 July, 1967], No. 32964/67. Heading B1C, Apparatus for mixing the contents of bottles or cans comprises at least one carrier having a plurality of equi-angularly spaced gripping stations for bottles or cans and adapted for rotation about an axis A, and means for simultaneously moving the carrier about an axis B so that each bottle or can is caused to move in a toroidal path, the arrangement being such that in each cycle of the carrier about axis B between loading and unloading stations, the carrier is rotated about axis A through an angle such that each of the gripping stations is brought in turn to the loading and unloading stations during successive cycles of the carrier about axis B.
