Abstract

1314399 Discharging containers from belt conveyers ORGANIZATION RALFS KG 15 Dec 1970 [1 Sept 1970] 59424/70 Heading B8A A belt conveyer system has ten container discharge stations, Fig. 2, and each container 11 has a destination address means 12 having ten positions corresponding to the number of stations, each position being selectable by means of a slide 13, position 4 being an example, Fig. 1, such that a full container 11 in motion on the belt is stopped and discharged at station 4. When a slide 14 on a second address means 15 is moved to a position 16 the address means 12 is put out of action and the empty container then responds to the slide 14, by circulating around the belt and is stopped and discharged from any station in which a contact (17) in an interrogating head, Fig. 3 (not shown), is passed, each station having such a head. A counting device (not described) may be coupled to the contacts (17) thus permitting a predetermined number of containers to be discharged from any given station.
