Moving-chamber apparatus; for granular material.-In apparatus for sowing seeds of various sizes, the seeds are taken from a hopper and delivered to a coulter by a rotating vertical wheel having adjustable peripheral pockets made up of transverse stops or ridges and hinged plates. The wheel d is mounted in a flat casing a between the hopper b and the delivery spout c. The plates k are hinged at one end to the tops of the stops or ridges e and are provided with arms j carrying studs i engaging in radial slots in a disk or disks f. The size of the pockets is adjusted by swing- ing the plates k about their hinges by turning the disk f. The seeds are kept in the pockets between the hopper b and spout c by a plate spring o. The plates k are provided with recesses k<2>, Fig. 2, for small seeds.
