Abstract
1,248,888. Refrigeration. STAL REFRIGERATION A.B. 20 March, 1970 [3 April 1969], No. 13596/70. Heading F4H. [Also in Division G3] In apparatus for refrigerating spaces or objects 2 ... 4, the supply of refrigerant or heat transfer medium to an air cooler 8 in each space is regulated via a temperature sensing transducer 6, temperature regulator 5 and valve 9 in the feed line to each space which commences the refrigeration of each space so that the refrigeration period for each space is proportional to the difference between the actual and desired temperatures of the spaces and the capacity of a compressor 1 forming part of the refrigeration system is changed to a level proportional to this mean value. In operation, the refrigeration periods are started sequentially after each other and the duration of each period is controlled by electronic control means 7 which sequentially sense the temperatures of all spaces via the transducers 6 and control the valves 9 via the regulators 5 so that the duration is proportional to the difference between actual and desired temperatures although the duration has a predetermined maximum. The capacity of the compressor 1 is adjusted by the control means 7 in accordance with the mean value of the refrigerating periods as computed by the control means 7 when the refrigeration of all the spaces has started.
