[Also in Division F4] In an electric domestic oven in which the walls are cleaned by burning off at an elevated oven temperature, the normal cooking thermostat 8a is used to interrupt the circuit to the door bolt unlocking electromagnet 10 at the high temperature and a second thermostat, 8a controls this high temperature during burning. Closure of the thermostat on cooling, enables the electromagnet to be energised through push-button 11. The oven is controlled by sets of contacts which are selectively engaged by rotation of knob 1, to feed various oven components from source I, II. The oven may be selected by switch 2 to be operated manually or by programming switches 3a, 3b driven by motor 4. The oven has normal heating resistors 5a and grilling heater 5b, a catalytic cleaner 6 being permanently connected in series. The inside of the door may be heated by resistor 7 during cleaning. A motor 9 may be included to rotate a spit. A contact 16 closed only when the oven door is fastened acts as a safety device. A light 14a lights during normal operation of the oven, 14b when the door is bolted, and 14e when the oven is being heat-cleaned. Circuits 15 feed hotplates 5b when the oven is 'OFF'. For heatcleaning, resistors 5a and 7 are in operation under the control of the timer 4 which opens contacts 3e, 3b after a certain time. The warning light 14b comes on after heating to indicate that the bolt may be released by pushing pushbutton 11.
