A mine arch support comprises two sections 10, 12 which are articulated together by endpieces 16, 26 having working faces for rolling engagement with a tongue 20 of one section accommodated in a slot 24 in the other. Each end-piece may be in the form of a forging or casting welded or bolted in position and the tongue is provided with a stop in the form of a protuberance 22.
