Abstract
1,248,191. Checkout desks. MUNKSJO A. B. Jan.22, 1970 [Jan.29, 1969], No.3229/70. Heading A4T. Below a cash counter a sloping bar 2 supports a stack 3 of bags 10 which slide up to stops 8 on two rotatable rods 4, 5 extending from the end of bar 2 and provided with curved portions 67. The handles 11, 12 of the front bag are lifted over stops 8, the curved portions rotated to extend upwards, the front handle 11 is lifted over the curved portions to engage the outer ends of the rods and the curved portions are rotated to occupy their outwardly extending positions as shown whereby the bag is held open for filling without obstruction from the rods. The rods may be separately moveable or inter-connected, e.g. by gears.
