Abstract

1,247,581. Coated metal surfaces. TEFAL. 7 Jan., 1969 [10 Jan., 1968], No. 967/69. Heading B2E. [Also in Division C3] A metal surface e.g. a metal blank, is coated with an anti-adhesive material containing polytetrafluoroethylene as the essential ingredient, by coating the metal surface with polytetrafluoroethylene in the form of an aqueous dispersion in mixture with an edible oil which has been emulsified with the aid of a wetting agent, and applying heat to sinter the polytetrafluoroethylene on the metal surface. A second coating of an oil-free aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene may be applied over the first coating and heated to sinter the second coating on the first coating.
