1,246,624. Road vehicle underframes. L. J. HUMPHREYS, [trading as HUMPHREYS]. 7 Nov., 1968 [8 Aug., 1967], No. 36433/67. Heading B7D. An underframe for a trailer vehicle comprises a central longitudinal tubular metal member 10 passing through the bases of tapered transverse members 11 of channel section which are welded thereto and extend in both lateral directions. The ends of the transverse members may be free or may be provided with brackets 14 to receive a side rail of wood or other material. An eye-bolt may be provided at the forward end of the longitudinal member for attachment to a towing vehicle.
