Intermediates isolated are Z - Ser - Try-OMe, Z - Ser - Try - NHNH 2 , Z - Ser - Try - Ile-OBut, H - Ser - Try - Ile - OBut, BOC - Leu - lie - OEt, Z - Ala - Leu - Ile - OEt, Z - Ala - Leu - Ile- NHNH 2 , Z - Ala - Leu - Ile - Ser - Try - Ile- OBut, H - Ala - Leu - Ile Ser - Try - OBut, BOC - Lys(BOC) - Val - Leu - OMe, BOC - Lys- (BOG) - Val - Leu - NHNH 2 , BOC - Lys(BOC)- Val - Leu - Thr - Thr - Gly - Leu - Pro - OMe, (Z or BOC) - Lys(BOC) - Val - Leu - Thr - Thr- Gly - Leu - Pro - NHNH 2 , and (Z or BOC)- Lys[BOC) - Val - Leu - Thr - Thr - Gly - Leu- Pro-Ala-Leu-Ile-Ser-Try-Ile-OBut. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a compound I in conjunction with a suitable excipient stimulate glucose absorption and possess adipokinetic activity.
