Abstract

1,244,749. Clay target projector. B. H. CRESSWELL. 13 Oct., 1969 [27 Nov., 1968], No. 56213/68. Heading A6D. A clay target projector has a rotatably mounted arm 1 having a flat surface extending from adjacent the axis of rotation of the arm to an outer end of the arm, and a raised trailing edge 4. Drive 15 rotates the arm. A target is directed from receptacle 8 by the receptacles' sloping bottom, onto arm 1 and against a stop 12, which is released by a mechanism, preferably an arm 14 which may be raised into the path of stop 12 to strike and pivotally raise the stop. The targets trajectory is altered by tilting the axis of rotation of arm 1 and by pivoting arm 14 about said axis. Targets may be fed successively down a chute 20 by remotely controlled means 22-27 into receptacle 8.
