Abstract

1,244,331. Air humidifier. JAMES HOWORTH & CO. Ltd. 20 June, 1969 [10 July, 1968; 14 Aug., 1968], Nos. 32812/68 and 38813/68. Heading B1R. An air humidifier supplying air within the confines of a textile machine comprises, a casing divided into two compartments, one containing a fan 10 in use discharging air to be humidified through a nozzle 22 onto an impeller 21 mounted on a shaft 20 and arranged to rotate a perforated drum 13 positioned in the other compartment wetted by immersion in water contained in the bottom thereof. The water is heated by a heater 19 and humidified air is discharged through outlets 31 connected to ducting (32) (Fig. 4, not shown) arranged along each side of an area (B) below bobbins or yarn packages (35). The ducting (32) may have graduated apertures therealong on the top of the ducting may be formed of perforated sheet metal or porous material.
