Abstract

124,343. Knaster, I. June 20, 1918. Tubes or containers. collapsible.-In a device of the kind provided with a spreader for the contents, the spreader comprises a flexible member 2 projecting from the flattened filling end of the tube The spreader may be a brush, or may be formed of rubber, flexible metal, &c. shaped as shown in Fig. 3 or 8, while a slidable protector 7 may be provided. In order to prevent the spreader from touching the surface on which the tube is laid after use, projections or bulges may be formed on the tube, or tongues 14 may be provided, while the tube itself may be stiffened by forming ribs along its sides or by inserting a bent wire 12.
