Abstract

1,243,282. Releasable fastenings. WILLIAM C. JONES PLASTICS Ltd. 3 March, 1970 [7 Jan., 1969], No. 909/69. Heading E2B, [Also in Division F4] A ceiling rose formed wholly from plastics material comprises a base 5 with a pair of depending slotted lugs 8 and a moulded plastics pin 13 releasably engaged in the slots and adapted to support a chain. The slot 14 is of uniform width throughout its length and is of such a size that the shank, but not the head 16, of the pin can pass therethrough. The slot 15 is of keyhole shape and has a wider upper part 15a to receive the shank of the pin and a narrower lower part which fits into a groove 17 in the pin, when the latter is pushed down, to prevent unintentional withdrawal. The pin is waisted at 18 to centralize the chain.
