Abstract
124,305. Steven, A. M. April 9, 1918. Alarms; short-time movements.-Consists of a movement to run, say, five minutes and then sound a bell. Fig. 3 is a view of the mechanism from the rear. The centre-arbor carrying the hand is friction-tight in the centre-wheels v, and a toothed quadrant o gears with a pinion fast thereon. By means of a pusher 10, the quadrant is turned against the force of a coiled spring p till the hand has been reversed round the dial and a pin 13 on the quadrant has passed behind the hammer-lever j. On releasing the pusher, the quadrant drives the movement, and when the quadrant reaches its initial position, the hammerlever escapes from the pin 13 and the hammer k strikes the gong.
