Abstract

1,240,613. Chair supports. RECTICEL N.V. 28 April, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 21496/69. Heading A4M. A support 1 for a seat or back cushion of a chair which comprises a metallic frame 7 over which a textile material 5 is stretched and having a layer 8 of rubber is manufactured by covering a form 4 with the textile material 5, e.g. a knitted fabric, applying a sheet of uncured rubber 6, then a metallic frame 7 preferably of steel, folding back and stretching the material over the frame 7, placing a layer of rubber 8 in the form and finally curing while exerting a uniform pressure so that an integral unit is formed.
