1,239,551. Fungicides containing dinitrotetrafluorobenzene. IMPERIAL SMELTING CORP. (N.S.C.) Ltd. 26 Sept., 1968 [28 June, 1967], No. 29734/67. Heading A5E. Fungicidal compositions comprise, as active ingredient 1, 4-dinitrotetrafluorobenzene. The 1, 4-dinitrotetrafluorobenzene may be incorporated into an aqueous suspension with or without wetting agents or into an emulsion and/or mixed with solid diluents. It may also be mixed with a wetting agent, with or without the incorporation of powdered or divided solid materials to form a wettable product which may be used as such or be suspended or dispersed in water. The solid materials may be, for example, clays, sands, talc, mica, or fertilisers. Suitable wetting agents are, for example, soaps, fatty sulphate esters; fatty aromatic sulphonates; condensation products of ethylene oxide with fatty acids, alcohols and substituted phenols; fatty esters and ethers of sugar or polyhydric alcohols; or block polymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. The fungicidal compositions may also contain another herbicide, fungicide, pesticide or plant-growth regulator.
