Abstract
A pesticidal paste composition which can be dispersed with water to form ready-for-use pesticides comprises solid active ingredients having a particle size of less than 30 microns and from 10 to 100% by weight of the active ingredients, of liquid organic substances or mixtures thereof which are either wetting and/or dispersing agents or which contain such agents and which do not dissolve, or only slightly dissolve, the solid active ingredients at normal temperature. The ingredients are preferably milled in a jet pulverizer in the presence of an inorganic solid milling additive, e.g. magnesium carbonate, kaolin or silicic acid. Specified active ingredients are insecticides such as bis-(p-chlorophenyl)-trichloroethane, g -hexachlorocyclohexane, bis - (p - methoxyphenyl) - trichlorethane, 1,2,3,4,10,10 - hexachloro - 1,4,5,8 - dimethano - naphthalene, p-nitrophenyl - diethyl - thiophosphate and [2-isopropyl - 4 - methyl pyrimidyl - (6)] - diethyl thiophosphate, fungicides such as the copper salt of 8-hydroxyquinoline, pentachlorophenol, methane sulphone - N - trichloro - methyl sulphenyl-p-chloranilide, acaricides such as p,p1-dichlorobenzilic acid ethyl ester or S-(1,2-dicarbethoxy - ethyl) - 0,0 - dimethyl dithiophosphate.
