Abstract

A clock oscillator arrangement in which the outputs from a group of individual oscillators 1, 2, 3 are subjected to " majority voting " to select that output which has a phase between those of the other oscillators, is characterized in that means 10, 11 are provided to compare the phase of the output of each oscillator with that of the selected output to produce a phase control signal for the respective oscillator. As described control signals, indicative of phase lead or lag switch the oscillator circuit capacitance to change the frequency. In order to indicate that an oscillator has gone outside the look in range the " lead " and " lag " control signals also open gates 19, 20 to apply input pulses to counters 22, 30. If these counters are not reset by an opposite type of control signal before a predetermined count is reached, signals from their outputs are applied to indicators connected to terminals 24, 32.
