Abstract

1,236,360. Electric timepieces. SMITHS INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 12, 1968, No.23563/70. Divided out of 1,205,753. Heading G3T. An electric timepiece comprises a crystal controlled high frequency electrical oscillator, at least one lower frequency electrical oscillator, time indicating means driven by actuating means having a rotary motion of a speed having a fixed relationship to the frequency of the lower frequency oscillator or the lower frequency oscillator having the lowest frequency, and a number of frequency controllers equal to the number of lower frequency oscillators, each frequency controller maintaining the frequency of a lower frequency oscillator at a fixed fraction of the frequency of the oscillator having the adjacent higher frequency, and each frequency controller generating signals to adjust the lesser of the two adjacent frequencies. The timepiece particularly described is as disclosed in Specification 1, 205, 753.
