Abstract

1,236,178. Shoe tree. W. H. TANK and T. TANK. 25 March, 1970 [1 April, 1969], No. 14463/70. Heading A3B. A shoe tree consists of a lower member 1 which contacts the sole of the shoe, an upper member 2 which contacts the vamp, a supporting arm 3 which is pivoted at its rear end to the lower member 1 and at its front end to the upper member 2, and means for adjusting the angle between the supporting arm 3 and lower member 1. The arm 3 is pivoted to the lower member 1 by projections 10 which engage recesses formed in flanges 12 and is pivoted to the upper member by pins 7 which engage apertures formed in flanges 6. The adjusting means consists of cam discs 4 which are pivotally mounted on the arm 3 at 13 and which are moved by an operating lever 5.
