Abstract

1,235,400. Endless conveyers. VENDO CO. 17 Dec., 1969 [6 Aug., 1969], No. 61636/69. Heading B8A. [Also in Division A4] A dispenser of articles, e.g. ice cream bars, comprises at least a pair of continuous conveyers, 18-18<SP>111</SP> lying in a plane one within the other and supported in rectangular fashion on corner spools 22 one of which for each conveyer is driven by a motor 54. Each link of a conveyer has secured to it a box carrier open at one side for holding articles and on one side of the rectangle they pass a dispensing opening 102 through an inner insulated door 17 and an outer door 15. On a coin being inserted at 108 and a selector switch 106-106<SP>111</SP> being depressed, one conveyer is driven until an article is presented at the opening, and a cam 80 actuates switch 90 to stop the conveyer. The motor is carried by door 17 and has a drive head engaging a key on a spool shaft when the door closes. In a further embodiment two pairs of concentric conveyers are placed side by side with the dispensing opening bridging adjacent sides of the two rectangles.
