1,235,137. Statistical apparatus. R. STENDAL. 29 Oct., 1968 [30 Oct., 1967], No. 51164/68. Heading G4M. Price tags are provided with edge-notched codes representing the type of goods to which they are attached. At least the coded part of the tag is retained for sales checking when goods are sold, and the tags may be used for stock control by inserting each price tag in a box containing correspondingly coded stock cards for the various types of goods, the cards being periodially needle-sorted and the stock cards up-dated. The tags may have slots in opposite edges offset from the centre line and co-operating with a rod or track in a filing drawer to keep the tags upright.
