Abstract

1,233,388. Dishwasher rack systems. HOBART MFG. CO. 4 Dec., 1968 [11 Dec., 1967], No. 57647/68. Heading A4F. A rack system for a dishwasher comprises a rack having support members connected to form a bottom portion and parallel side portions, means connected to the cleansing tank for supporting each rack side portion, which means includes pivotable lever means for each side portion and means for selectively positioning the -lever means relative to the rack for adjusting the vertical position of the rack. Rollers 47 for running in a trackway connected to the tank are positioned at the ends of lever 45 and 55, connected to the rack at pivots 43 and 53 respectively and connected to each other by bar 49 and arms 48 and 52. Connected to lever 45 is arm 58 and spring 60, the latter being provided with a knob 62 and pin 64 which passes through a hole in arm 58 and engages a locking hole 70 in locking plate 68. The rollers 47 run in a trackway of generally S-shaped cross-section (Fig. 3, not shown) which is mounted on the tank on rollers which allow it to move longitudinally. Each side of the rack may be adjusted independently. The levers may be mounted on the trackway instead of the rack.
