Abstract

1,232,972. Removing residual electrostatic charges. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. June 4, 1968 [May 23, 1967], No.24008/67. Heading G2H. Residual electrostatic charges are removed from printed copy sheets by applying an electrically conductive fluid, e. g. a liquid, such that the charge is dissipated to earth by the fluid. The liquid, e. g. water may be applied by a roller supplied by a felt pad, partly immersed in a reservoir of liquid, or by spraying. Liquid may be removed from the copy sheets by heating or by applying blotting paper to the moistened surface.
