Abstract

1,232,953. Wiring installation M. S. DE GIALLULY. 20 Jan., 1970 [20 Jan., 1969], No. 2781/70. Heading H2H. An electrical installation comprising a power utilizing unit 26-such as a lamp-fed from a power source 10, 11 by way of a plug and socket connector 21, 20 and a flexible lead 17-19, 22-24 in which the connector has at least three sockets and three plug pins is provided with a first two-way switch 12 for connecting the line 11 alternatively to lead 18 or 19, the lead 10 being connected to the lead 17 and a second twoway switch 25 either on the unit 26 or between the unit 26 and the connector 20, 21 which switch is arranged to connect one side 31 of the unit 26 alternatively to lead 23 or 24 corresponding to lead 17 or 18, the other side 32 of the load being connected to the lead 22. Thus the power utilizing unit may be controlled by either of the switches 12 or 25. In a second embodiment the connector may be provided with 4 pins and sockets whereby two power utilizing circuits in parallel may be controlled simultaneously.
