Abstract

The control cabinet or rack has a separate unit (e.g. slide-in) containing a matrix of socket-type connectors accessible to jumper-leads from above and to wires from below. The incoming cable's wires are connected to a permanent terminal. The terminal block is connected by further wires to the underside sockets of the matrix. The wires from units in the cabinet are also connected to the underside sockets of the matrix. Jumper-leads may be selectively plugged into the matrix upper sockets to connect the two sets of wires.
