Abstract
1,232,518. Fluidic elements. BENDIX CORP. 23 May, 1969 [17 June, 1968], No. 26479/69. Heading G4P. A fluidic OR/NOR gate comprises a number of control passages 24, 26. Fluid control signals entering either passage deflect a power jet, delivered by port 10, from output passage 22 (representing the NOR function) to passage 28 (representing the OR function). When no control signal is present the jet attaches to wall 20 and exits via passage 22. Vent 18 prevents attachment to wall 32. If the control fluid pressure becomes too high, part of the main jet is deflected in to cusp 30 and is redirected against the jet to prevent its further deflection and possible entry in to vent 18.
