Abstract

1,252,443. Fluid regulation. BRITISH AIRCRAFT CORP. Ltd. May 20, 1969 [March 19, 1968], No.13277/68. Heading G3H. A fluidic amplifier system comprises a vortex amplifier 20 having an input line 18 which is connected to the main supply line 10 via a pressure regulator 16, an output line 32, and a control signal line 30, the last mentioned is connected to the main line 10 via a fluid amplifier 22 which has a vent 26 and a control signal line 24. In the absence of a signal at line 24, flow from line 14 enters line 30 and so sets up a vortex in chamber 20, the outflow from line 32 being at a minimum. Upon the application of pressure to line 24, the flow in signal line 30 changes and so the outflow from line 32 increases.
