Abstract
1,232,320. Mowers. V. POSSAMAI and M. POSSAMAI [trading as ALPINA DI POSSAMAI VITTORIO & MARIO S.I.N.C.]. 18 Dec., 1969 [31 Dec., 1968], No. 61810/69. Heading A1F. A mowing device has blades 3 rotating in a horizontal plane on a disc 4 mounted at the lower end of a vertical axle 7. The blades 3 cut vegetation between the teeth of a fixed serrate-edged plate 8. The axle 7 also carries triangular spikes 5 which rotate above the level of the blades 3. The spikes and blades protrude from the chassis 1 through slits. Vegetation cut by the blades 3 as the device is moved forward on a slide 2 is thrown by the spikes 5 into an ejection channel between the chassis 1 and a shield 9. The device may be driven by a belt 6 and two or more of the devices may be coupled together and the ejection channel may be formed between two counter rotating devices by the chassis 1.
