1,232,263. Manifolding assemblies. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 23 Oct., 1968 [30 Oct., 1967], No. 50374/68. Heading B6A. A cheque-stub blank 30, Fig. 2b, for use in two different data processing machines, each accepting a blank of a predetermined length, which is different in each of the two machines, comprises a pair of superposed sheets 30, 21, the former including a cheque portion 10 and a tear-away portion 14, separated from each other by a line of perforations 13<SP>1</SP>, and the latter constituting the stub portion 23. The superposed sheets are joined together along their opposite ends by respective end portions 15, 16, Fig. 2a, whereby the former is defined by lines of perforations passing through both sheets 30, 21 and the latter by lines of perforations passing only through the sheet 21 such that for processing of the blank in the second data processing machine the end portion 16 and the tear-away portion 14 can be removed in a single bursting operation. For processing of the blank in the first data processing machine, e.g. of addressing the blank, the latter is provided with pin feed perforations 19 for feeding of the blank through the machine which accepts blanks whose length is defined by the distance between the pin feed perforations. For processing of the blank 30 in the second date processing machine, which will only accept blanks of a second length which is greater than the first length above, the blank 80 is converted by removing the end portion 16 along perforations 13 and the tear-away portion 14 along perforations 13<SP>1</SP> and spreading out the blank 30 such that the stub portion 23, check portion 10 and the end portion 15, Fig. 3, which is folded along the lines of perforations 1311, are disposed in a common plane.
