Abstract

An ignition distributer 7 on a vehicle is enclosed by a protective casing comprising two half-shells 1, 1<SP>1</SP> of rigid moulded plastics, which internally match the. shape of the distributer, and a flexible cap of elastomeric material 8. The half-shells are sealed along lips 2, 2<SP>1</SP> by tongue- and-grooving and held together by spring clips 3, 4 in grooves 5, 6. The cap 8 is clipped on the joined half-shells to provide a sealed closure and has sealing through-bores 9 for cables to the distributer.
