Abstract

1,230,902. Offset printing blanket. DAYCO CORP. 15 July, 1969 [28 Aug., 1968], No. 35592/69. Heading B6C. An offset printing blanket comprises an outer ink-receiving layer and a layer containing permanent magnets embedded in a matrix, so that it may adhere to a blanket cylinder of ferrous metal. Preferably the magnets are in the form of dispersed particles, e.g. of barium ferrite, of 200 mesh size. The ink-receiving layer may be of natural or synthetic rubber, or of polyurethane, and the matrix may be of natural or synthetic rubber.
