Abstract

1,230,257. Rotary press; turning bars. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK FRANKENTHAL ALBERT & CIE A.G. 15 July, 1969 [19 July, 1968], No. 35532/69. Heading B6C. [Also in Division B8] Webs 5, Fig. 1, passing to or from printing machines are directed by turning bars 6, each of which is mounted in cantilever fashion and pivoted at the supported end to move through at least 90 degrees. Each bar is movable by screw-thread mechanism transversely of the oncoming web such movement being independent of the other bars or in unison therewith. Each bar may be placed and locked in the right or the left position as viewed in Fig. 1, the mounting of the bar on its support 7 allowing for such a contingency.
