A rack or shelving structure comprises tubular uprights 1 carrying spaced apart tubular sockets 3 which detachably receive tubular spigots 5 secured to cantilevered tubular carrier arms 4 which may support shelves, baskets or elongated articles, all of the tubular members 1, 3, 4, 5 being of rectangular cross-section. Alternatively the spigots may be carried by the uprights and the sockets by the arms 4. The sockets 3 may be rigidly or detachably secured to the uprights 1. Cross ties 7 may interconnect a pair of arms 4.
