[Also in Division A5] The invention comprises N-sulphenylated N- trifluoromethylaminobenzoic acids of the formula in which each Hal individually denotes chlorine or fluorine, each R individually denotes hydrogen, chlorine, methyl, methoxy, nitro or trifluoromethyl and n is 1, 2, 3 or 4, and a process for the preparation thereof wherein a corresponding acid fluoride is reacted with formic acid. Examples are furnished. The products are employed in insecticidal or acaricidal compositions as active ingredients.
