Means for supporting a plastics or metal mesh gutter cover 5 comprises a synthetic plastics bracket 1 having a downwardly directed slot 8 clipped over the gutter edge and a horizontal bar 2 spanning the gutter, the cover being held in place on spigots 4 on the brackets by a resilient strip 8 having holes corresponding to the spigots and a spigot 9 engaging in a slot 10 at the edge of the bar. The inner edge of the bar has a series of slots 6 so that portions may be broken off for gutters of different widths.
