[Also in Division Cl] A paper coating is prepared from a kaolinite coated with an inorganic gel, such as magnesium or aluminium silicate, silica or aluminium hydroxide, with the addition of 16% starch by weight. The solids content of the coating is adjusted to 55%. Coatings of 4.51bs per Ream were drawn down with a hand blade and calendered 2 nips at 10psig and 44% R.H.
