Abstract
1,228,375. Wall brackets; mounting sanitary vessels. ARMITAGE WARE Ltd. 30 Aug., 1968 [3 June, 1967], No. 25728/67. Headings A4B and A4N. An article of sanitary ware, e.g. washbasin, bidet or urinal, is secured to a wall by engagement of a wedge shaped formation 26 depending from the rear of the article in a corresponding recess defined between the wall and an inclined arm 14 of a wall mounted bracket 11, the article being anchored to the bracket by a threaded clamp 18 and the bracket and clamp being received within a pocket in the article. In one embodiment, Fig. 2, the clamp comprises two L-shaped bolts 18 each having a threaded limb engaged through a hole (16) in a bracket projection 15 and an unthreaded limb engaged in a grommeted hole 28 in the article. The bolts 18 may be splayed apart (Fig. 5). In another embodiment, Fig. 8, the clamp comprises a spindle 46 threadedly engaged in a tapped bore in a bracket projection 44. The spindle 46 has a frustro-conical boss 47 which clamps against the article when the spindle is turned by engagement of a screwdriver in its slotted lower end.
