IVANOV. 5 July, 1968, No. 32153/68. Heading H2E. To connect a transformer to the end of a power cable sealed in an insulating tube 2 provided with an electrostatic screening cap 10, a conductive member 12 is connected at one end to the cable by a flexible conductive member 13 and supported resiliently at 14, to allow movement to counteract thermal, electrical and improper mounting effects and at the other end to a conductor in a lead-through bushing 11 of the transformer. Oil, at atmospheric pressure, is contained in the insulation 15-19 surrounding the connection. The flexible member 13 may be a stack of conductive strips and the positions of the flexible member 13 and the resilient support 14 may be interchanged (Fig. 2).
