[Also in Division F2] Series connected throttle valves 19, 20 in an automatic fuel control system feeding a gas turbine, each comprise a spring-loaded body 33 having a closure member 32 co-operating with seat 31, and a piston portion 34 subjected on its upper and lower faces respectively to outlet pressure and the pressure existing in pipes 36, 39 which are connected to the input side of pump 10 by a pressure drop unit 21 and speed responsive valves 26, 27, the piston 34 being provided with a restricted passage 35 whereby the pressures at opposite sides of the piston can be equalized, to permit the valve to close under the action of spring 38, when the pressure in pipe 36 or 39 is cut off by operation of speed sensitive valves 26, 27 or emergency stop valve 40.
