1,224,873. Valves. MARTONAIR Ltd. 19 March, 1968 [20 Dec., 1966], No. 56847/66. Heading F2V. In a valve having two valve member portions 247, 248 actuated by pistons 224, 225 under the control of fluid pressure admitted through ports 241, 242 and connecting port 244 to either port 243 or port 245, auxiliary pistons 252, 253 with restricted passages 254, 255 are provided to give a two stage change-over. Starting from the position shown, fluid pressure admitted at port 242 first acts on auxiliary piston 253 to move portion 247 against seat 231 through the intermediary of piston-rod 246 and flange 256 and secondly passes through restricted passage 255 to act on piston 225 to move portion 248 off seat 232.
