Abstract

1,224,555. Tetrazoles. AGFA-GEVAERT A.G. 3 April, 1968 [10 April, 1967], No. 15980/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Division G2] Compounds of Formula (I)-(IV) are prepared as follows: Compounds (I), (II) and (III): refluxing the sodium salt of 1-phenyl-5-mercapto-tetrazole with, respectively, 2-chloroacetyl-p-cresol, #- chloroacetophenone and p-iso-dodecyl-#-chloroacetophenone. Compounds (II) and (IV): refluxing 1-phenyltetrazolyl-sulphenyl chloride with, respectively, acetophenone and p - lauryl - amino - acetophenone. Compound (IV) may also be prepared from its corresponding amine and lauroyl chloride. p - Iso - dodecyl - # - chloroacetophenone is prepared by heatingiso-dodecyl-benzene, chloroacetyl chloride and AlCl 3 in CS 2 . p-Laurylamino-acetophenone is prepared by acylation.
