Abstract

1,224,195. Endless conveyers. SOVEX Ltd. 3 Oct., 1969 [21 Oct., 1968], No. 49867/68. Heading B8A. [Also in Division E2] Conveyer troughing 1 is suspended from structural beams 2 by rod-type hangers 7 which are connected to the bearers 9 by clip devices 14. The bearers are attached to the beams 2 by L-shaped brackets 5 and the lower ends of the hangers 7 are connected to transverse members 10 on which the troughing 1 is supported. For bracing the hangers 7, a rod 21 is secured by clamps 22. The troughing is made up in lengths which are stiffened so as to be self-supporting between widely spaced suspension points. Idler rollers for the return flight of a conveyer belt may be provided. To enable the troughing to run parallel to the beams 2, intermediate transverse bearers 11 are provided, Figs. 2, 3. Alternatively the bearers 11 may be bolted directly to the bearers (9), Fig. 4 (not shown).
