Abstract

1,224,016. Necktie retainers. AMERICAN VELCRO Inc. 21 Aug., 1968 [23 Aug., 1967], No. 39927/68. Headings A3H and A3V. A necktie holder comprises a device 14, attachable to the front of a shirt and the narrow portion 13 of a tie, having on its forward surface hooking elements for engaging complementary elements on means 21 attachable to the rear side of the wide portion 12 of the necktie. Device 14 is a spring clip made of metal or resilient plastic and has raised hooks or loops of superpolyamide. Means 21 comprises a fabric tape secured to the tie by stitching or releasable adhesive and having complementary loops or hooks.
