Roll films. - In roll films, the light-excluding paper is provided with a waterproof coating on one or both faces so as to prevent it from absorbing moisture and causing mottling of the film; films for use as roll films, in film packs, or as cinematograph films, and having a base coated with gelatine on both faces to prevent the film from curling, may have the rear, unsensitized, gelatine coated with a waterproof material. The waterproof coating may consist of nitro-cellulose or cellulose acetate. The invention may be applied to " autographic " roll films having a transfer or carbon sheet between the film and the paper, the back of the film and both faces of the paper being then coated with waterproof material.
