Abstract
1,223,154. Digital transmission systems. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 4 April, 1968 [10 April, 1967], No. 16160/68. Heading H4P. [Also in Division G4] A digital data receiver includes correlators for detecting each of n orthogonal signals. The correlator outputs are decoded to provide a marking on one of 2n outputs. In the embodiment described, Fig. 2 (not shown), a 3-bit serial signal is received in a time T, the bits being regarded as orthogonal signals. The signal passes to each of three correlators in which it is multiplied with signals 100, 010, 001, respectively. The multipliers feed integrators connected to threshold circuits, and the three threshold circuits thus develop a 3-bit parallel bit signal corresponding to the received signal. The parallel bit signal passes to a gating circuit which energizes one of 2<SP>3</SP> = 8 generators which are sampled successively.
